WHO WE ARE
OUR STORY
Established in 2017 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, The Gouché Foundation embarked on an assignment to narrow the wealth gap within marginalized communities. We aimed to dismantle a significant barrier hindering economic mobility for those from lower socio-economic backgrounds: the staggering burden of college tuition. Shockingly, studies revealed that nearly 6 out of 10 African American college students dropped out due to financial strains, potentially sacrificing over $1.2 million in lifetime earnings.
Our founders, Nick J., and Natalie Gouché, resonated deeply with this issue. Both first-generation college students had to abandon their academic pursuits to take care of their daughter. Despite this setback, through perseverance and God’s grace, Natalie became a thriving entrepreneur while Mr. Gouché ascended to the rank as President of a major minority-owned financial services firm. Their humble origins inspired them to leverage their prosperity not only for their family's benefit but also to uplift others facing similar challenges.
Launching their family foundation, with President Brian Hill, they aimed to erase the financial stress for aspiring college students, enabling them to focus on their studies and honoring their families' many sacrifices by earning a college degree. This accomplishment would not only bolster their lifetime earnings but also propel them toward financial independence.
In seven years, their foundation has awarded 47 scholarships, exceeding $100,000 in grants, and potentially increasing their collective lifetime earning potential by over $60 million. And they stand with immense pride and honor, reflecting on the lives they've touched thus far.
AMERICA, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!
It became evident that the future awaiting our children was not just a racial issue but a generational one, affecting the majority of our kids. We needed to reevaluate our strategy to better support those in greatest need. After thorough research and reflection, we shifted our focus with renewed determination to tackle a larger issue that deeply impacts those we love the most: Our Kids.
OUR SOLUTION
After Nick and Natalie met with their financial advisor and set up early investment savings for their children's long-term future, they realized that starting to invest while their kids were young could potentially be worth millions of dollars later in life. Inspired by this discovery, the Gouché's decided to renew their foundation’s mission to help other parents do the same for their children while providing financial support.
Now, the Gouché Foundation has set an ambitious goal to help families set up their children to accumulate over $1 billion in personal wealth (collectively) by investing early and taking advantage of what Albert Einstein called the 8th wonder of the world: compound interest. They are determined to create a future where wealth and prosperity are limitless for the next generation.
OUR MISSION
BY 2034, THE GOUCHÉ FOUNDATION, HAS SET AN AMBITIOUS GOAL TO HELP PARENTS SET UP THEIR CHILDREN TO ACCUMULATE OVER $1 BILLION IN PERSONAL WEALTH BY INVESTING EARLY FOR THEIR CHILD’S LONG-TERM FINANCIAL FUTURE, AND UNLOCKING THE POWER OF COMPOUND INTEREST.
OUR VISION
TO CREATE A FUTURE WHERE INDIVIDUAL WEALTH AND PROSPERITY IS ACHIEVABLE FOR ALL CHILDREN.
We invite you to join us on this historic mission to create a bright financial future for our children. Together, we can inspire them to achieve the American Dream of financial independence.
